Ann Gallant, Known to some as Ann Glazier,
Died on the 24th January 2007 aged just 61
She lived in Werrington, Peterborough for the last 24yrs and North Bersted, Bognor Regis before that.
She had 1 sister and 2 brothers that she despised due to their greed.
She had 2 children Myself and Carol. She also had 7 granchildren Ashley, Bradley, Leanne, Callum, Mitchel, courtney and Kristopher and 3 step grandchildren Sherie (also departed from us), Carl and Kirsty.
My Mum (as all mum's) was a fantastic person. She had a hard life, but made best what she could.
She had cancer when I was 1 yr old. When she had half her lung removed. but someone obviously thought she was still needed down here to guide my sister and I in the right dirrection (She has done a good job). Not only did she have that, she bought us up as a single parent until she met Keith (I was 14). Then to top it off she got breast cancer about 10 yrs ago and had half her breast removed, it turned out to be benine.
She enjoyed her life as much as she could, struggling on social. The goverment wouldn't give disability, as having cancer twice and only 1.5 lungs didn't seam enough to claim. But she plodded on.
She enjoyed pottering in her garden and kept a very nice well decorated house.
She enjoyed going on holidays with her friend sandra, She hated it when she came out to Cyprus to see me because we had earth quakes, She was on the next plane home. The last holiday she went on was to Spain with another friend called Donna and her son Luke which she said she didn't enjoy, But thinking back it was probably because of her illness (this was 4 months before she died).
We had numerious trips to the doctors stating she can't eat without it getting stuck. Then she could only eat little bits and felt full. The doctors kept blaming it on her diabetes. I can remember going to the docters with her one time... she was complaining of a pain in her side. The doctor felt all round her stomach and said she had a lot of fluid in there and gave her water tablets.
Another time she said she couldn't eat without it getting stuck. He gave her a blood test and it came back as nothing wrong.
Then Jan 17th my sister made the Doctor admit her to hospital. Throughout the week she had lots of tests and scans. She slowly deteriorated.
On Wednesday 24th 2007 just 1 week of being admitted @ 11am we got hit by the first bus the results of her tests.... stating that she had agressive cancer again in her lung and liver. Then the second bus...we were told she had days to live!
Then the final bus came at 17:25 the same day...
she died.
Taking with her a part of me no one can replace!
I will always love and miss my Mum, But it makes it easier knowing she is still here watching over us... like she always did!
I still talk to her (when no one is around) I just hope she can hear me!
words of comfort
May Jehovah God bless you and smile down on you. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
